The Challenge

A leading New York Agency required a scalable taxonomy system be built for an industry leading luxury resort client and ultimately implementable agency wide.  The luxury resort client advertised across four unique channels (Paid Search, Metasearch, Programmatic and Social), held over two dozen properties and required consistent naming conventions be established for improved cross channel reporting and planning.

The Strategy

The One Edge team collaborated with the Ad Operations team to determine consistent and trackable naming conventions across Campaign, Ad Group, and Ad levels. Upon agreement of the channel level inputs, the One Edge team pulled both automated and manual data where necessary to re-categorize and label 300+ campaigns and nearly 900 ads over the span of a month and a half. Upon completion of the renaming, the agency committed to implementing the taxonomy structure established from this project agency-wide.
